Writing slumps

How many of the writers out there have finished a series and hit a slump because of it?

Typing the end on an epic story line that traversed five different series totaling twenty books has left me floundering.  These characters have been a major part of my life for a solid eight years and saying goodbye to them is hard.  It's like saying goodbye to your best friends, albeit an imaginary set of friends, and moving halfway across the globe.

After almost three months of mourning, I think I've finally shaken the slump.  I will forever miss those characters, but it is time to pull up my boots and move onto something new.  In the meantime, here are the different series and intertwined story lines that came to conclusion at the end of The Ryan Chronicles.  It's been a hell of a ride.

All of these titles are available on Kindle Unlimited!
To find out more about these and more, visit My Amazon Page

Now it's time to build another epic intertwined series.

Talk to me about how you overcame that writing slump?

Until next time,

Six degrees of Ty Aris...

This month has been really busy with the release of Fallen and Saving Grace.

Yes, Saving Grace has been released early on select distributors!

And I got to thinking about how many connections and fictional lives Ty Aris has touched.

Here is the list of what books he has appeared in chronological order of his life:
1. Fallen
2. Survival Games (Free!)

These stories span from his childhood all the way to his death, and beyond. From the innocent to the jaded, he's transformed from good to evil and redeemed himself a time or two. He has been by far the most fun character to write and now, with the new Ryan Chronicles Series we will get to really know his son, CJ.

So, let’s play the game and from the pool of answers, I’ll pick a winner and they will get a choice of an audio version of any novel except Fallen and Saving Grace, or any e-book of your choice.

Name these connections...
What were the names of Ty’s lawyers?
Who sold Ty the property in Maine?
What was the name of the Judge that married Ty and Jessica?
What's the name of the doorman at Ty's building in New York?

And an indirect, much more obscure connection...
Who managed Ty’s portfolio?

Good luck and thanks for playing...

The Ryan Chronicles coming in... 2014?

Yes, the first book of The Ryan Chronicles is coming this spring as opposed to the originally scheduled 2015 date.

While I was supposed to be working on FALLEN, which is the prequel to the Games series, CJ Ryan just wouldn't shut up. He wanted first dibs on my muse, not the story of how his father went from being a cop's son to being Frank Aris's accomplice in Survival Games.

So... the first book in The Ryan Chronicles is now on the schedule for release this spring.  And the cover is stunning, don't you think?

Here's a brief description for you all...

When CJ Ryan's girlfriend decides life is less complicated without him, CJ travels a destructive path into despair, walking the line between doing what's right and doing what feels good. But what feels good is a dangerous slope to travel, especially when Lucifer wages war for his soul.

One wrong step and CJ could fall into the devil's trap, becoming no better than the demons he battles.

Look for an announcement as to the exact timing of this release in May!

In the meantime, sign up for my newsletter by April 15th for a sneak peak at the first chapter of Saving Grace!

March coming in like a Lion!

March is going to be one of my busiest months in a long time. Between a trip to New York City, Charleston, South Carolina and York, Maine, I'm just running all over the place.

In addition to traveling around the East Coast, I'm rolling out seven new covers and two new books!

I mentioned my cover upgrades, well, here's a preview of the new version rolling out this month:

Now for the Steve Williams Series Face lift... drum roll....

And finally, the new releases this month...

The Death Chronicles boxed set (Books 1-3)

Steve Williams is getting a face lift...

Yes, my novels in the Steve Williams series are getting a face lift! And it's more than just newly branded covers.

The earlier books in the series have undergone some transformations as well.  I took some of the feedback into consideration and softened some of the more intense scenes. The subject matter is still disturbing - after all, we are dealing with serial killers - but some of the more unsettling scenes have been modified.  I'm sure I will still offend some readers, after all, the subject matter itself elicits very strong reactions.

If you really like the current covers, you might want to pick up the paperbacks now before the big reveal! You never know, the current covers may end up being a collectors item one day.

Stay tuned for previews and the exact release date for the series, including the boxed set.

In the meantime, for those e-book-centric individuals, Dark Reckoning - the first book in the Steve Williams Series - is free.  You can find it on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Itunes, Smashwords, Sony, Kobo and a few other outlets!

Have a lovely weekend and stay tuned!

Until next time,
Ciao
