Secret Worlds Author Spotlight: Noree Cosper

SECRET WORLDS available for only 99 for a limited time! Get your copy now!

Today, I have USA Today Bestselling author, Noree Cosper on the blog. Noree loves writing about magic in the modern world. While growing up in Texas she constantly searched for mystical elements in the mundane. She buried her nose in both fiction and books about Wicca, Religion, and Mythology. Every day became an adventure as she joined a group of role-players, acting out her fantasies of vampires, demons, and monsters living in the world.

She embraced her nerdom wholeheartedly.

Noree grew, but never left her love for fantasy and horror. Her dreams pushed her and her hand itched to write the visions she saw. So, with her fingers on the keys, she did what her heart had been telling her to do since childhood. She wrote.

JET: Can you tell us about your most recent book?
The Pandora Principle, Cassi is a pandoran, a descendant of Pandora who has special powers, though she’s more interested in college and hot men. Unfortunately, her two worlds collide when her fellow college students start dying.

JET: What drew you to (genre)?
I have always had a love for the supernatural and enjoyed reading about them. I think my first favorite was vampires.

JET: What’s been your most challenging hurdle on the road to publication?
I think it would be getting my name out so that people know that I have books available.

JET: What was your favorite moment in the journey?
The moment I held my published book in my hands.

JET: Which authors had the most influence over you growing up?
Anne Rice, Anne Mccaffrey, and Laurel K Hamilton

JET: When did you know you wanted to take the plunge into the writing world?
I always loved reading, and it just evolved into writing. I would say middle school was when I made my actual conscious decision.

I stayed at a haunted bed and breakfast to ghost hunt and to get a feel for a small town in Texas.

JET: Of all the novels and stories you’ve written - which one is your favorite? Why?
At the moment I would say my favorite is A Dose of Brimstone, the second book in the VHO series to be released in August 2015.

JET: Any advice (from a writer’s standpoint) for the novices out there?
Write, revise, edit. Rinse and repeat. Find a critique partner or group to read you work and offer feedback. It may be hard to find the right fit but they are invaluable in the writing process, as are editors.
